CCIA Argeș (Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture) is the largest business support and promotion organization in Argeș and represents the Voice of the Argeș Business Environment. We are a non-governmental, autonomous, non-profit, public utility organization with legal personality, which represents, supports, and defends the interests of the business community in Argeș.
The Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture is part of the Romanian Chamber System, which includes: the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (the National Chamber), the county chambers of commerce and the Bucharest Municipality Chamber, and bilateral chambers of commerce.
CCIA Argeș has always played an active role in supporting the business environment. Since its establishment in 1864, the Chamber has served as a mediator between state authorities and business people.
The Chamber of Commerce has consistently been a strong, incisive voice for the business community, an active and involved player in all topics of local economic interest. Additionally, the Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture has actively participated in all actions and debates related to projects and initiatives of local interest.
From its very inception, aware of its role as an essential factor in information dissemination, the Chamber of Commerce has established itself as a partner, a collector, and a provider of information to and from its members. It acts as a bridge connecting the business environment with state institutions and economic actors, and serves as a source of information and services for those interested.
Our mission is to consistently contribute to promoting the interests of our members in developing trade, industry, agriculture, and services, in line with market economy demands. We also aim to support them in their dealings with Romanian and foreign authorities.
The Chamber of Commerce is an emblematic institution in the civilized world, possessing extraordinary prestige—an institution synonymous with the history of modern Romania. We're talking about an institution present in all developed countries, a vital point of reference, an economic barometer, and a partner to the business environment.
It's an active player, alongside local administration and the political sphere, deeply involved and present in everything related to both the economic aspect and subjects of local interest. This institution, through its tradition, network, and international affiliation, has been the most important representative forum for Romanian business people over the last 150 years. It's an exponent of the free market economy that has contributed significantly to the development of both the business environment and Romania as a whole.
We aim to be the provider of the most comprehensive services for the business environment, becoming a benchmark for information services, consulting (especially on European funds), and more.
We are and wish to be genuinely and constructively involved in initiatives alongside partners (public or private) that ultimately aim to inform, grow, and develop the business environment.
We propose to persevere in creating increasingly diverse and precise information events and opportunities for the business community. We also intend to become more and more involved in collecting and forwarding the position of the Argeș business community to interested parties/decision-makers. To this end, we aim to establish and develop partnerships with institutions of economic interest (higher education institutions, public institutions, etc.).
We intend to strengthen ties and bring together all employer, trade union, and professional associations from key sectors—commerce, services, etc.—under the umbrella of CCIA Argeș. This is precisely to give the Chamber's unique voice the weight it needs when expressing positions of general interest.
We seek to promote not only the economic interests of the Argeș business environment but equally the general development interests of the region on issues such as regionalization, energy projects, or infrastructure (like the Transfăgărășan, etc.).
