The Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (CCIA Argeș) is founded on the voluntary association of its members and represents the interests of the local business community to authorities and organizations both domestically and abroad. Although it's part of the National Chamber System, which comprises 42 county chambers led by the CCIR (Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania), CCIA Argeș, like the other chambers, has complete autonomy in its area of coverage (the county) to foster economic and entrepreneurial activity. It reports solely to its General Assembly of members.

Members of the Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture are defined by the Chamber's statute as merchants and non-merchants.

• Merchants include: individuals authorized to conduct commercial acts under the law (individually or in family associations), commercial companies, autonomous public corporations, cooperative organizations, cooperative societies, and any other legal entities defined as such by law. This also encompasses branches, subsidiaries, representative offices, bureaus, agencies of commercial companies, and similar entities, with or without legal personality.
• Non-merchants include: freelancers, associations, and foundations involved in economic activities.
