Technician for detection, video surveillance and monitoring systems, access control and communications

The specialization course TECHNICIAN FOR DETECTION SYSTEMS, VIDEO SURVEILLANCE, ACCESS CONTROL Code COR – 352130 is authorized by the National Qualifications Authority (formerly CNFPA) and is aimed at technical personnel from licensed companies in the field of security systems. The course is mandatory in order to obtain the police's approval, but also for the development of alarm system projects.

Individuals who have completed this course can establish companies in the field of security system installation and maintenance.

The purpose and objectives of the course are to provide the necessary knowledge and training in accordance with Law no. 333/2003 on the guarding of objectives, goods, values, and protection of persons, with subsequent amendments and additions, and Government Decision no. 301/2012 for the approval of methodological norms for the application of Law no. 333/2003.

The target group consists of individuals involved in the installation of various DSVCAM systems (detection, video surveillance, access control, and monitoring) and their routine maintenance at the beneficiary's premises, as well as repairs, modifications, and extensions of these systems.

The competencies acquired upon completion of the course are: preparing works for the installation of security systems; mounting conduits for technical security systems; performing necessary cabling for technical security systems; installing technical detection, intrusion, and access control systems; installing fire detection, signaling, and alarm systems; installing closed-circuit television (CCTV) technical systems; installing technical monitoring systems; commissioning technical detection, intrusion, and access control equipment and systems; commissioning fire detection, signaling, and alarm systems; commissioning closed-circuit television (CCTV) technical equipment and systems; commissioning technical monitoring equipment and systems; providing maintenance and service for detection systems; providing maintenance and service for fire detection, signaling, and alarm systems; providing maintenance and service for closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems; providing maintenance and service for monitoring systems.

The course curriculum comprises 120 hours and is developed in accordance with the Occupational Standard.

The course is organized both in Pitești and in other localities, provided a group of at least 12 people is formed. It is open to those with secondary and/or higher education. The certificate obtained has permanent validity and is recognized nationally and in the European Union.
