Firefighter servant

The FIREFIGHTER SERVANT initiation course, Code COR – 541104, is approved by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) and authorized by the National Qualifications Authority (formerly CNFPA).

The firefighter servant is part of the intervention, rescue, and first aid teams within voluntary/private emergency services. According to Law 307/2006 on fire protection, Law 481/2004 on civil protection, and OMAI 158/2007 for the approval of Performance Criteria regarding the establishment, staffing, and equipping of private emergency services, obtaining a professional competency certificate is necessary for specialized personnel in fire prevention and extinguishing. This certificate can only be issued after completing the firefighter servant course.

The purpose and objectives of the course are to enable participants to acquire knowledge for defending life, public and/or private property against fires and other calamities, within the areas of competence established with the approval of IGSU inspectorates.

The target group includes individuals holding the position of firefighter servant in a company, regardless of its market profile; individuals who wish to specialize in the field of firefighter servant, regardless of their primary profession; individuals who are part of the intervention, rescue, and first aid teams within voluntary/private emergency services; and other persons with duties and responsibilities for intervention, rescue, and first aid.

The competencies acquired upon completion of the firefighter servant course are: performing preparation activities for emergency intervention; carrying out activities preceding emergency intervention; executing emergency intervention; maintaining the technical intervention means in endowment.

The course curriculum and the number of hours (160 hours) are developed in accordance with the Occupational Standard and Framework Curriculum and have been approved by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU).

The course is organized both in Pitești and in other localities, provided a group of at least 12 people is formed. It is open to those with secondary and/or higher education. The certificate obtained has permanent validity and is recognized nationally and in the European Union.
